Long delay of letters coming up in Word Whomp

I just played Word Whomp last night and it was fine. I go to play it tonight and the delay between typing the letters and having them show on the screen is almost 30 seconds. Everything on my computer checks out. So what is going on with the game?

It sounds like you are having connection issues @rodentraiser.

When you see a delay such as this then the first thing to try is unplugging your router from the wall for a few minutes and then trying again.

Do you see this issue at the same time each time it occurs or is it random?

Hi! Thank you for responding so quickly!

That was the first time I had seen this happening and I'm happy to report nothing is wrong now. I have Comcast and I have to think it was probably something on their end. At any rate, everything is fine now. Thank you again!
