Right. Yesterday me1 would not launch. But now none of them will launch.
What do I have to do to get these games to cooperate?

There is a newer driver for your Gtx 1050 available. Download it from here.
Install the graphic driver this way:
• shut down any not necessary programs in the background. (including your virus scanners real time protection)
• shut down any and all system monitoring programs and any overlooking tools you might have.
• Run the installation EXE > CUSTOM mode > preform a clean installation > install only the GPU Driver and the PHYSX software.
(don't deselect components you need even if the have the same version number, the installation program will de-install them if you do)
• Reboot > test.
If that don't helps

Well, no time to test things now, I have a doctor's appointment to get to. Will have to test later.

Please create a DxDiag in text file format and post it with your next reply. You can do that with the "Choose file" button at the bottom right corner of the reply window.

... And in spite of reinstalling the whole mess earlier today, the mass effect games still refuse to launch.
So depressing.
@holger1405 I hope that dxdiag points to a solution, because I am out of ideas.

DISM ran without errors both times.
SFC returned 'Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.

windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.'
