Dead Space 2 Key Objects Not Appearing

In Dead Space 2 on chapter 6, where you are in the anti-grav room where you must put out the fire, a battery is supposed to be in the lower left oxygen generator. But it never is. It doesn't appear anywhere. I have looked through that enitre room, up and down, the room before that and the room before that. The battery doesn't exist. A waste of money on a broken game or a fixable glitch?
