Sim City not working after Origin update

windows 7 OS

and is set to 32 bit colour.

tried the beta update, Origin isn't updating!!!!

how do you force Origin to update?

and why when I buy a game it isn't on my hard drive as usable software, why does it have to link to origin??

sjcou have you tried this step, right click on the game in Origin, select Game Properties, and tick disable Origin In Game.
