Origin installer white screen (posted fixes don't work)

Same issue people have been having for months.

Originally had a white screen when trying to view games list, tried reinstalling the client, which has now led to a white screen when opening the installer.

Things i've tried without success:

- Deleting Origin folders in C:\Users\user\AppData\Local and C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming (for all users).

- Clearing browser cache and cookies and redownloading installer.

- Running installer as administrator.

- Running installer with anti-virus disabled.

- Scanned PC with anti-virus and anti-malware software.

- Checked that system time was correct.

- Updated Java.

- Lowered resolution to 1600x900.

- Checked that 32-bit colour was enabled.

- I don't have Ad-Aware installed.

I can't find any other solutions suggested by users or community managers.

I reinstalled Origin but all I get is a white screen. Please Help.

Can you try running Origin as administrator? Does that make any difference? 

Do you have any programs like Avast, McAfee, Malware byes, Norton, etc. installed on your device? Try disabling them temporarily to see if that makes a difference (don't do anything else while they are disabled). 

Does Origin start normally if you start it after a clean boot?

I have been facing the same issue.

After trying reinstalling the application, I have tried the clean boot install and starting it in a clean boot environment.

At the first clean boot installation, I have been able to see the store and the game library inside the client window, although the performance scrolling and browsing was very low. I have then tried to reboot normally and the white screen has persisted. Further trying to reproduce the clean boot installation again or running the client in a clean boot environment hasn't been succesful.

Hi @Gwyndolium,

Taking into account that some of the solutions are links to other threads that have links to further threads (some of them almost on the hundred pages...). I have not checked every step proposed. I have tried some of them (the easiest to implement first) and nothing seems to work yet. I am not in a hurry, so I will keep trying the next days.

The problems have begun with the new client update from a couple of days ago, so... another option is to wait for the next iteration hoping that my problem is not rare enough and there is someone already working on it... (Wishful thinker that I am). Anyway, I'm sure that if this issue is solved on the newest version there will be new suffering and havoc aplenty lurking in their code lines.

I am surprised that neither Origin nor EA have a repository with their latest previous client versions to allow for backward debugging. All the posts I have read point to external third party repositories and I am not fond of downloading executables from who knows where.

Would be cool if there is like a version before the newest available indeed. 

That said, eventually the games will be based on the newest update so although it would work now in the end you'll still have to make the jump eventually. The white screen error seems to mainly happen when something stops Origin from loading the information which to me looks like some kind of firewall/anti-virus blockage or something similar. Also flushing your dns and clearing the caches of your internet explorer can do wonders sometimes.
