My Sims 4 game will not start! Please help!

On 5/14/15 the new patch came out for the game so either I can not download it or it is already downloaded but my game won't start. I uninstalled and re-installed Origin hoping that would fix it but it didn't. I don't know what else to do. I don't want to uninstall the game because I will lose my sims I have on there. Please help me find a solution ASAP!

Do you get a 'Repair Game' option when right clicking the Sims 4 game tile in Origin client after you restart your computer?

No I did not.

Please try the steps in the order below:

1. Manually uninstall Origin
2. Run CCleaner
3. Restart your router/modem and do a Clean Boot
4. Make sure that your UAC is enabled and set to notify
5. Download the latest version of Origin and install the client - make sure to run the setup file with Admin rights
6. Add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports
7. When starting Origin, please make sure to run it as Administrator

After this try repairing or updating the game again.
