Why can't I play Mass Effect Andromeda on Origin today (9-11-17)?  For some strange reason my game on Origin is "Greyed Out" and am unable to click "Play" on 9-11-17.  I tried to reload, refresh, and have done a search for this Technical Problem of Origin on Google and on Origin's Questions to no avail.  And THIS is why I continue to fight buying any EA Games, because I NEVER have problems or the lack of communication on Steam or Uplay.  Someone needs to get me the answer.  Because I can click on any of my other games on Origin to Play.  Is this a Mass Effect Server issue, and if so I need that info. ASAP?!  COME ON!!!

This might have something to do with your Mass Effect folder in your documents. Try renaming the Mass Effect folder, repairing the game and then booting it. You might have to copy your saves back to the new Mass Effect folder afterwards.

 

- Open "This PC"

- Click on your username (or go to Documents)

- Go to Bioware

- Rename the "Mass Effect Andromeda" folder to "Mass Effect Andromeda Backup"

- Repair the game in Origin

- The play button should now be orange and clickable again

 

- In order to transfer your saves, copy the "Saves" folder from "Mass Effect Andromeda Backup" to "Mass Effect Andromeda"
