Sea Captain trapped in the Frying Dutchman

I've long ago completed the Squidport quest(s) ... but after sending the Sea Captain to Work at the Frying Dutchman the other day, I can't release him from that task or collect any bounty from the Frying Dutchman.  The Sea Captain appears in the upper-left corner (like he's been released/awaiting task assignment) and clicking on the Frying Dutchman briefly shows that his task & the building/bounty are completed.  The town census, however, shows that the Sea Captain is still at Work at the Frying Dutchman.  Unlike other suggestions, I cannot store the building in my inventory (that icon isn't available, all I can do is move or sell it) ... I've closed/restarted the application and even rebooted my iPad, with the same result.    Please advise.

I think you will need a game advisor to help you with this. Follow the link: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new .

Once there, do the following:
1. Choose Tapped Out and next
2. Then choose your platform
3. Then choose a topic and write a brief description of the issue and next
4. Then an option to contact EA will come up.
