I need to update my origin account with my current email but it wont let me please help me out

When you say it will not allow it is it a error and if so what is the error? And are you doing it this way...

Open origin , Go to top it says origin and right mouse click it, Pick Account and privacy , in about me your email shows. in the area about me , Basic information hit edit.
