I experience periodic vision blurring / red shift in multiplayer. It is clearly an in-game effect. It may be "laser blur" but it occurs even when it doesnt seem possible. i.e., when alone in a room or looking at the ground.

It's not that damn ECM effect is it? Christ that thing's annoying, makes zero sense having a visual effect outside of the HUD/mini-map for an EMP either.

I get this error no matter where I am in the MP and on 3 different PCs. It comes in intervals every ~10 seconds and it drives me mad.

Also experiencing what I would describe as a pulsating effect which feels like suppression - This is very cyclical phenomenon, kicks in maybe every 10-15 seconds, without in-game environmental causes (such as receiving fire, interacting with something, levelution, etc).
I seem to see this all the time on Operation Locker, but it's unclear if it's because I play this map too much -
Basically, deep indoors of the map, you get the same effect that you would get if you were in a snowstorm outside, where your crosshair colors gets demuxed into different colors (like a red channel, a green channel) all distorting under different patterns.
I've been wondering if this is the outdoors blur effect that was wrongly being applied indoors, periodically.

Yeah i noticed that too since Nov 14 patch. I guess it is some kind of supression or explosion effect, that is going nuts.

so it's a frostbite engine effect, "chromatic abberation", and it's been escalated to DICE according to this thread:

Yep, thanks gralo.
DICE is working on removing the Blur effect. You can read more info about what the plans are regarding the next PC patch over here: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-4/Info-Next-PC-Game-Update-Patch-Notes-Date-TBC/td-p/1910665

Are there are any plans to step up the PC patch release cycle now the next gen console versions have been released?
Two client patches in ~1 month seems a little slow given the number of issues. Most AAA releases with this high a number of bugs will have at least one zero day patch and multiple subsequent patches in the weeks following.
