Battlefield 4 in Background Processes [ Edited ]

Whenever I play BF4 now i always have lag every few seconds. I initially thought that maybe my PC is getting old and i need new RAM or something but when i looked at in Task Manager i saw that it was considered a background process when it previously has never been like that. I think that this may be the cause for the lag. It is also causing my entire computer to lag whenever it is open. Any help would be appreciated, Thank You

Go to Control Panel, System, Advanced system settings, Advanced tab, Performance Settings button, Advanced tab, select Adjust for best performance of: Background services, Apply, OK.

Reboot and retry at that point.
