BF4 stops installing at 20%, throws up a DirectX internal error (tries to install outdated DX11)

The removal of all but the 3 files fixed this problem for me as well.

My exe file was named DXSETUP.exe_DiP_STAGED

I removed everything after exe, just to be sure, becuase apparently this could also be an issue.

Hello,

I just got off the live chat from ea, and the method that worked for me is below:

Press and hold the 'Windows' Key followed by the 'R' key to open up a prompt window.
In the prompt window, type 'msconfig.'
When you have finished typing, click OK. At this point, you should now see the multi-tabbed System Configuration dialog box.
Click on the 'General' tab
Choose the 'Selective startup' option
Uncheck the 'Load startup items' box.
Open the 'Services' tab.
Check the 'Hide all Microsoft services' option at the bottom of the tab.
Click the 'Disable all' button.
When prompted, restart your computer.
