BF4 no ea connection and says i need xbox gold?

Im trying to play BF4 on xbox live and it lost connection to ea servers. BUT it also says i need to subscribe to xbox live gold when i just did! What the hell is happening EA and does anyone have a fix. Ive already reset everything and opened my router and all i wanna do is play bf4 with 32 against 32.
