Battlefield 3 Online pass not working

My PS3 recently crashed and had to be reset to default. I tried to Play BF3 and am being told my Online pass no longer works I bought this game new less than a year ago and I am not very happy.

There shouldn't be a need for an online pass any more. Try downloading one from the PSN store, it should be free.
