Battlefield 1 windows 10 keeps crashing "battlefield 1 has stopped work

I'm not to sure @Decky696969,
Like I said, I bought the game 2 weeks ago which I'm guessing was after the latest BF1 update? Mine constantly crashed every 5 to 10 minutes of game play so maybe it's linked to the update?

Do you play any other demanding games other than BF1? If so, are they crashing too? If not, I don't think it would be a overheating/hardware issue.

It's odd that the Windows 10 update has fixed it for me but there might have been improvements to better support my hardware (i haven't read the release notes), but for whatever reason it seems to work now.

Give it a go :-) no harm done if it doesn't work and at least your O/S is up to date.

I play a lot of other demanding games but none of them crashed. I just finish the update and let me tell you if it work or not

Similar problem here.
Bf1 crashed after about 5-10 minutes into playing.

I tried a Couple of solutions:
Repaired bf1 - didn't help
Reinstalled bf1 - didn't help
Installed Windows update 1803 - didn't help
Checked ram - no issues
Cleared origin cache - didn't help
Run origin in administrative mode - now it works!!
You may try a mix of the solutions. At least for me it worked after all of this. And maybe not all of it was necessary.

Same problem hear. I play 1 to 7 minutes, then the game crashes and I see the Desktop. This behavior is since Windwos 10 1803 on my PC.

I have tryed the moste solutions Postet hear. Maybe I make a Rollback to Windows 1709.

My Setup

Ryzen 1600x no OC

Nvidia GTX 1080Ti no OC

16GB RAM only XMP

Win 10 1803 and all updates

I have an Intel i7 cpu with a Nvidia 1080 gfx card and I was having the same issues.

 After playing on a server 5-10 minutes, the game would freeze and exit to desktop.

I uninstalled these 2 windows updates from my PC (KB4284835 and KB4103721).

Turn off automatic updates in windows and do not reinstall these updates from Microsoft for the time being till it is fixed.

I just played 2 hours without any freeze and BF1 exiting to desktop.

Did you read the previous posts from me? Give them a go. Fixed the issue for me and had no further issues since.

Thx, I uninstalled KB4103721, then another KB and finally I could uninstall KB4284835.
I played BF1 for one hour without any back to desktop.
