[CURRENT ISSUE] Error messages with MSVCP140.DLL/VCRUNTIME140.dll [ Edited ]

Somebody please help!!!

I was prompted to update my Sims 4 digital deluxe on my PC (Windows 10) and after it updated Im getting the error I have attached. 

Im not very techy so if someone can give me a simplified step by step guide on what to do. I'm afraid if I uninstall sims 4 from origin i'll lose all my extra content, game packs and expansion packs.

I've repaired the game - still getting the error

I've also moved My sims 4 folder (In electronic arts folder) to my desktop as suggested on other posts but unsure what to do next. 

*currently re-installing game* will update if this works

@x_minatureI had this too.

You have to download Microsoft Visual C++. It should have been included in the update but this doesn't seem to work for all players.

I went to this page:

https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

and installed vc_redist.x64.exe. That fixed the problem for me and other players.

Hello! so I just updated the game Sims 4 and now it won't open up the game it keeps showing me a message saying that its a system error and  the code execution can not proceed because MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. I just started playing games on computer so im not sure what to do about this. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

This is happening me too! Same error code but happened after I was prompted to update my game now im getting this error when I click play. Can someone please help! Im afraid if I uninstall the sims 4 from my origin acc all my extra content, expansion packs and game packs will be  deleted and ive spent so much money on them.

Every time I open the game it says “the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). I reinstalled the game and restarted my computer multiple times. It had also said I was missing files (VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll). I installed these files and now have the error that the game cannot start. I also tried running as admin and nothing changed. Please help!

@alanmichael1 Hiya. I must be really unlucky, because I'm still getting the error message and no loading even with that installed.
