sims 4 game keeps crashing no matter what I do

after I used symlink to connect my electronic arts folder to my external hard drive, I was only able to play the game once before it kept crashing on me. I've tried removing the cache, going on and offline, uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing works

@starriski  Please move or rename the Sims 4 folder inside the Electronic Arts folder on your external so that the game generates a new one.  Then try playing with that folder in place; it won't have any of your saves or other existing content, but that can be addressed later.  Let me know whether it works.

If the game still crashes, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@puzzlezaddict I removed the symlink I had connecting my two files and redid it, renaming the sims 4 folder on my external, but it still didn't work. do you have another link for dxdiag, but a Mac version?

Please list the full specs of your Mac: everything under About This Mac including the operating system and except for the serial number.
