Packs don’t work in game

Thanks. Unfortunately those packs will not run on your Mac as they require the current version of the game but you will be running the Legacy version because your Mac does not support Metal. More info is in the opening post on page 1 of this thread.

i downloaded the new update for infants and i took all mods out as recommended and tried repairing the game and nothing i dont have the new furniture i don't know if its related to me having the legacy for mac but please fix this i really wanna play the game

The Legacy version does not receive updates like the current version. See the opening post on page 1 for more info.

Attempting to play Sims 4

Upon launch, we get this error:

Unable to start due to missing game data. Please download The Sims 4 Legacy Edition from Origin.

Anyone know a good fix for this?

Hello. I bought the bundle with (among others) "Cottage Living". The other applications work but Cottage Living is not visible in play. None of the objects have been added.
I tried searching for a solution, but it seems a lot of the solutions arent available anymore (legacy edition, metal).

How do I solve this? Can I even play Cottage Living?

I have an iMac with MacOS Sierra,version 10.12.6, from mid 2011.

Your Mac can only run the Legacy version of the game as it does not support Metal however, the Legacy version is no longer available so you cannot run The Sims 4 on your Mac. More information in the opening post on page 1.
