creature stage, I can't move off the nest

I haven't played in some time. When I started the game in the creature phase, it won't move off the nest. I will look towards where I click, but won't move. I have restarted the game a couple of times, it doesn't help. Any ideas?

@jhiland55 Try using WASD or the arrow keys to move if you havn't tried that. If that wasn't working in the first place, then I'm not sure what else you can do other than make a new planet and restart creature stage.

If moving with WASD or point and click isn't working, wait it out and see if you can either starve or get into the creature editor so you respawn as an egg. Also if this is a new save starting off in Creature stage, perhaps its not too much of a loss to start another game?
