I need some help with this

I have recently been playing Spore and I am loving it. However, I'm trying to sign into my origins account, but it says that 'There was a problem connecting to the spore servers' and that I needed to check the internet connection on my computer, but it is fine. What do I do?

If your EA/Origin Password, I think, has special characters in it, then it won't work and, if your password is 16 characters or longer, then it won't work either. Here is a another thread that may have some other solutions.
