Heroic launcher giving 2000 and 1004 errors on startup of game kubuntu

I'm on kubuntu linux and I'm using heroic launcher, whenever I open the game with the heroic launcher it opens gives me the 2000 error saying "Configuration Script Failed [2000]" and then after I press ok to it, it says, " Could Not Find A Needed Package. The Data Directory Is Missing Or Corrupt" then it doesn't let me get past that and I have to kill it with system monitor. How could I fix this?
