GA wont work, base game cant go past the cell stage

So I've been trying to play spore for like 2 whole days now and it's been so difficult. I got the steam version but it wont load galactic adventures at all and when i try to play the base game itll let me play untill like the end of the cell stage and then it always crashes on the creature stage when the cutscene is supposed to happen (cutscenes are black) I really just want to play the game if anyone could help me it'd be greatly appreciated
