Simcity Buildit can't load past the initial screen (image attached)
This happened after the Cancun features were released.
Any solutions to this issue?

thanks for linking a possible solution. I am playing from now.gg, which is an online version of bluestacks, so I don't think I have control over the device to do this fix myself. I was hoping this is an EA issue that can be resolved.

Update: I used the same 'problem' device as well as a different device to test if the SCBI game itself is corrupt - I was able to start a new city on the device with the 'problem' as well as a new device. This suggests that there is no incompatibility from the device standpoint. However, as soon as I tried to load in my main city from google play, SCBI tells me I need to update the game and force quits, and then upon reopening the game, I arrive back at the error code again. It suggests there is some corrupt save associated with my specific city, perhaps from the specific time the Cancun updates happened, perhaps resulting in a save data mismatch that is now having a problem loading in with the new features.
