pond water not working

When I make a pond in sims 4 it wont fill with water it just appears to fill in white. Also none of the pond insects or animals work either. 

I've clicked the repair option and nothing changes, what should I try now?

@krystalb2  If you have laptop mode checked in the graphics options, uncheck that box, then quit the game and reload.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
