Running the Sims 4 on the PC

I have bought the download of The Sims 4 and installed it and it will not let me play it. I click play and a message comes up and says " We are unable to connect to EA servers to activate The Sims 4 digital deluxe on this computer using your account. Please try again later." I've done a chat to figure this out before and they said they needed my phone number and they would redirect me and someone would call me and help me but I never got a call.  I now bought the disk and downloaded that and it is still giving me the same message.i have ran a system search to see if I able to play it on my laptop and they said I had the minimum requirements to run this game on my laptop. I need help.

Check that your Antivirus/Firewall are not blocking Origin.
