[MAC] sims 4 when opened it crashes [ Edited ]

sims 4

             for the last few day my daughter has been getting some problems wiht her sims 4. She opens it and it seems perfectly fine and then once its gone passed the ea part and once it gets to the part that opens and says sims 4 it freezes. the music is still playing and everything but nothing it happening. Because she has a mac book air she can force quit it but this happens every time. we have tried updating the computer but nothing worked please help

Try the following. 1) Simply shut down and restart her computer. Sometimes this will clear what is preventing the game from starting. 2) Make sure Sims 4 is updated to the latest patch. You can do this by opening Origin, holding the cursor over the game, and then right clicking on the game causing a list of options to open up. From there you can either update or repair the game.

Also I recommend that if these do not solve the problem to try this. Go to Documents >Electronic Arts > Sims 4 and moving the entire Sims 4 folder found there to the Desktop. Don't worry. The saved games contained in that folder should be safe there. Restart the game allowing a new Sims 4 folder to generate and start a new game. Play for awhile and then save. Close out Sims 4 and then try to restart the game and see what happens. 

If you are playing with CC and mods, sometimes these items will cause the game to crash, so try playing without them when you restart the new game.

thank you so much for your help the first two didnt work but the last did :heart:
