Issue 00000008: 00000000000000c8

I wanted to play Sim 4 again after a long time and when I tried to play when I open the game an error saying "00000008: 00000000000000c8 "popped up. I ignored it and just tried to play the game. I go to create a sim and when I hit the check mark to start the game, nothing happens. I can only hit escape and close out that window. I tried to load up an old save and just got errors, and all the house areas say it's not a residential zone. I am unable to play the game.

I have cleared the cache, moved "The Sims 4" folder out of documents, verified files, and uninstalled and reinstalled the EA app and Sims. Nothing has worked.

@Jayhawk2024  Is OneDrive running on this computer?  Even if you never use it, it could still be interfering.  So please try pausing OneDrive syncing before you play; right-click the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to see the option.

If that doesn't help, please let me know what antivirus you use.
