Had to reinstall DA:O and when I try to log in it tells me I'm not online (I am) and that 'EA servers are no longer available'. Uh.. that can't be true, can it??
So... I wonder if the primary problem is that it does not detect that I'm online? Anyone else having same issue or fix?

Dragon Age Origins states "EA Servers are no longer available."
Am using the original Dragon Age Origins Ultimate Edition disc. On a PC.
Made a case to EA tech & nothing was done, except to state on the case log the problem was resolved. Which it was not resolved.
If they do not support the game, then at least state that information.
Any type of update of fix??
thank you very much

I moved your post to a thread about the topic.
The DAO server where taken down last October. It will not come back online again.
The game itself is fully functional without the server.

I have downloaded the latest PC patch and am now past the error message re the EA servers but it still wants me to log in and wont accept the credentials I just used to post this message. It then prompts me to enter the key but when i enter this it comes up with an error (cos the servers arent there) so how do i start to play the game?

Did you installed from disk?

Yes and I have the product key

Than I would suggest to redeem the key in Origin or EA app to get a digital copy of the game.
You still should be able to install from disc.
