Trying to play DA Origins on Windows 11, but whenever I try to launch I get an invalid license missing dll error code. I've tried downloading the nvidia physx solution, but it doesn't make a difference. Is there any other solution out there? I have the game installed on external drive if that makes a difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Go to your ".....Dragon Age\__Installer\vc\vc2005sp1\redist" folder rand run the "vcredist_x86.exe" as Administrator. (Right click the exe > Run as Administrator.) > Reboot > Test.

Hello,
I have Dragon Age Origins through Game Pass Ultimate on PC, and whether I try to launch it through the xbox app or the EA app I get the same error "Invalid license. Reason code = Missing DLL: [NxCharacter.dll] Error: 0x7E"
Now I've searched for a fix for a little while now to no avail. I am running Windows 11 and here are some methods I've tried:
-Repairing the installation
-Uninstalling and reinstalling
-Installing PhysX (which whenever I try to install, it states I have the current or newer version, therefore it will not install)
-Reinstalling DirectX through DXSETUP.exe in the redist folder which had seemingly no response
-Restarting my computer
-Linking the nxcharacter.dll file to the daorigins.exe file in the bin_ship folder
-Installing the game on a different drive
-Running the game as administrator
There may have been other methods I forgot about. However, as you can see I'm at my wit's end, so any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Travburg1

Did you run the PhysX installer from the game folder?

I downloaded the version 9.13.0604 from 2013 you linked to the Dragon Age Origins folder and ran it there and then the game finally started. Thanks!
