Origin games not downloading or updating only "queued"

I've tried everything listed in this thread that worked for other people with no luck.

Any suggestions on what else to try this time around?

After trying everything else, gave in and updated from win8 to win10. It worked immediately after update.

my fifa 17 preload is also not downloading it is staying paused at 0% for two days.in fact none of my games are working, i tried downloading the demos and they are also not working,they are staying queued.............

I opened up network and sharing center. Disabled my network adapter and then re-enabled it.

Hello everyone,

If your update or download is stuck or queued then there are several solutions available:

• Clear the Origin cache and run as administrator afterwards (right-click, select Run as administrator).
• Reinstall the latest version of Origin as administrator
• Run your system in a clean boot and reinstall the latest version of Origin as administrator.

You will be running an outdated version of Origin if you have installed via a disc and did not update the client.

I purchased The Sims 4 and Sims 4 City Living today since it was on sale for black friday.  I've tried canceling and re-downloading but the game refuses to download- it says it's in queue.  I am installing no other games right now.

Hi,

If your games are queued then try the following:

• Turn on Safe Mode Downloading via Origin -> Application Settings -> Diagnostics
• Clear the Origin cache and then run as administrator
• Reinstall Origin
• Reinstall Origin while in a clean boot
