Hello.
I've been trying to solve this issue for the past 48 hours but I'm really only getting impatient. I've uninstalled and reinstalled origin a few times, and uninstalled most recent updates from windows, but it still won't start up. Here is the error message:
Origin.exe - Bad Image
"C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCR120.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f."
I really don't know what to do. Help!

Removing the following highlighted entries enabled the overlay to work within Origin FYI it might have gotten pushed when i called in for another game issue

Please make sure you installed the latest versions of VC++ on your computer. You can get the via the Microsoft website, here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003 -- please install both the 32 and 64bit versions.
It is also important that your system is fully updated. Please use the Windws Update function in W10 to get all the latest updates. If afterwards the issue persists, please do a manual uninstall of Origin and download and install the latest version. Please run the installer and Origin as administrator by right-clicking the program and selecting Run as admin.
If you have further questions, please let me know.

I am still running Windows XP and I'm having this issue. it's sad that if that reinstalling doesn't fix you you have to REBOOT your whole entire computer which is annoying and totally uncalled for. People putting HUNDREDS of dollars into your games and yet problems like this occur and we're told "Not OUR fault" from the company.

I am having the exact same issue as this on a new Alienware laptop. Manually installing the latest VC++ updates and uninstalling Origin Manually DO NOT work. What is the next step for troubleshooting? I have Origin working fine on other computers running Windows 10, just not this one.
Specs for Laptop:
Alienware 13 R2
i7 6500U 2.5ghz
8GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 960M
Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
