NFS heat Xbox one controller dies and game won’t let you press A must restart

NFS Heat issue! When controller dies or gets disconnected you have to re start game. Was just in a level 3 chase about to lose them and enter my shop. My controller died and I got busted losing out on 97,000rep points. Now it wasn’t because of my controller dieing it’s the fact that the game won’t recognize my controller or any of them once I plug it in or turn it back on. This is the second time now and it’s frustrating to spend so much time racing and running away from cops to then lose everything cus the game has an internal issue.

What platform are you on and I assume you use a standard Xbox controller?
