About This Thread

This thread tracks Sims 4 mods and CC that have been "broken" or made obsolete by game updates or declared unsupported by their creators. It also tracks updated game mods and non-cosmetic updates to custom content. If you use mods, this thread's lists and ongoing reports can help you prevent game errors and help you avoid having to do a 50-50 of all your mods. Consider subscribing to the thread to receive notifications by email (select Topic Options).

Some things are NOT covered:

• early-access content
• translations (except where translations were broken), spelling changes, new recipes, and some other very minor changes
• new add-ons and new separate versions of mods
• various creators or mods because of the T (for Teen) game rating, EA and Answers HQ rules, and the Maxis guidelines for Sims 4 content creators

Mods are not linked here, but where it could be easy to find an outdated version instead of a new update in an internet search, I provide direction on what site to download from.

In the end, YOU are responsible for your mod use. Read the FAQ about mod use in the Resources list below. Keep back-up copies of your Saves. Read each mod's installation instructions. Organize your Mods folder (but don’t move mods you downloaded using the CurseForge app). Delete old mods before you replace them with updated ones. Follow creators to get direct news from them. Don't download other players' mod folders or merge mods.

Recent Creator News

• Modder Victor Andrade has passed away of cancer, aged only 26. Victor was an early member of the SimRealist modding team, helping to start off many complex SimRealist mods; a creator of his own mods separately, the best-known being Direct Controls; and an independent game developer, including of the Mental Health Jam submission FlyLittleBird. May his memory be a blessing.

• MonoChaos will not be clearing or updating mods for quite a while due to a personal injury that's expected to be slow (and for sure full) to recover from. If you do have issues with any MonoChaos mods, please do report those here. Others will check on those reports and make sure Chaos knows for when they're able to mod again.
