Thrilling motorsport variety is at the heart of everything you’ll experience in GRID Legends™ – and the roster of cars you can get behind the wheel of are a showcase of racing diversity. From modern hypercars, to legendary prototype GTs, to trucks and big rigs, and so much in between, GRID Legends’ car list gives players an expansive selection of race-ready machines to make racing memories.

Cars are split across nine categories, and each includes smaller classes for those cars to be placed into. The categories are also spread across three difficulty tiers – Amateur, Semi-Pro, and Pro – which you’ll unlock as you progress through Career mode.

Most cars will be awarded to players upon completing Career milestones, with some high-value vehicles only purchasable with in-game currency. Owning a vehicle allows you to clock up mileage – and the more miles you record, the more performance upgrades you’ll unlock for that car (unlocked upgrades are then purchasable with in-game earnings). In online and custom race events, you will also be able to ‘loan’ any car you don’t own, allowing you to race with any machine, though you’ll receive fewer end-of-race rewards.

On our road to GRID Legends’ launch on February 25, keep an eye on this page as we add more cars to this line-up, with our largest ever selection of hand-picked vehicles coming on launch day and beyond. For now, though, here’s a run-down of all nine categories, followed by the confirmed cars so far…

Touring

A staple of the GRID franchise and a real fan-favourite, Touring car action is coming to GRID Legends in a big way. More cars and classes than ever before are in the Touring category. In the Amateur tier, expect race-modified hot hatchbacks and boxy machines, ideal for some seriously close-quarters action. Classes in Semi-Pro and Pro will include more speed, variety and aerodynamic focus, with track-dedicated tourers and some iconic cars, like the Audi A4 quattro.

Drift

Drift events make a triumphant return to the franchise in GRID Legends, with routes and vehicles purpose-built for sideways action. Reach the Semi-Pro tier to start unlocking classes in Drift, featuring cars that dare you to get those tyres smoking and sliding in style. The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Drift-Tuned is one of many famous machines tweaked for Drift in GRID Legends.

Trucks

There’s something uniquely exhilarating about taking a big vehicle, stuffing it full of power and performance parts, and tearing up circuits across the globe. GRID Legends features the series’ most diverse line-up of extra-large cars, all designed purely for racing action. Whether you’re testing the suspension of the Dumont T36 Brawler Sport as you send it over jumps, or dominating the track with our big rig, the Dumont Colossus, the Trucks category features machines that are heavy on fun and power, and well as just being plain heavy!

Specials

The Specials category brings together a variety of unique classes and rare machines for some unforgettable racing. Progressing through the Specials tiers will see you compete across a huge breadth of motorsport – from fun cars (literally and figuratively) like the Volkswagen Cup Car and oval racers, to vintage road icons and ground-breaking race cars that have shaped motor racing as we know it.

Electric

Electric cars continue to shake up the automotive world, with some ingenious machines that create epic racing action. For the very first time in GRID, Electric cars have their own category. Get a taste of their unique driving style in the Amateur tier, before unlocking more classes in Semi-Pro and Pro, comprising of incredibly powerful cars that are equally impressive on road and track.

Open Wheel

Prepare for stunning levels of grip, danger, and an immense sense of speed when you enter GRID Legends’ Open Wheel category. Starting in the Semi-Pro tier, test your levels of control with some extremely lightweight and nimble machines, and experience the thrill of the open cockpit as you blaze a trail through circuits and city streets. Progress to the Pro tier to unlock some of the most powerful cars ever seen in GRID, including a modern-day motor racing icon.

Tuner

GRID Legends’ Tuner category is a love letter to the concept of turning daily drivers and mass-market cars into world-beaters on the street or the track, all thanks to some engineering skills – and usually some sweet imports. From Japanese legends, to modified American muscle cars, to unbelievably powerful World Time Attack machines like the Audi R8 1:1, the Tuner category is full of tweaked, slammed, and modded cars guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Track Day

Despite being road-legal, some cars were just built to be pushed to their limits on a racetrack. GRID Legends’ Track Day category showcases plenty of machines that have the power and overall performance to be dominant on the track, but have the necessary comforts to drive you back home after you’ve taken the winner’s trophy. From popular British lightweights, to the legendary Shelby Cobra 289 FIA, to blistering supercars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro Concept, prepare to race in amazing cars through the Amateur, Semi-Pro, and Pro tiers.

GT

No GRID game would be complete without a huge selection of GT cars, built purely for motorsport success. Starting out in the Amateur tier with the likes of the Ginetta G40 GT5, you’ll progress to experience faster and faster machines from around the globe, spread across multiple generations of racing. Reach the Pro tier to compete with Class 1 GTs, prototypes, and other iconic cars that have shaped the history of motorsport, such as the Porsche 962C and Panoz Esperante GTR-1.
