[INFO] How to retrieve missing/stuck characters [ Edited ]

Preface

There are rare occasions when a character will either become stuck on a task that you can’t clear them of even when clicking the thumbs-up icon or whom will even disappear entirely from your town. If you have a character that’s in this situation, then try placing the building they come with (if they come with one) in to your inventory and then place it back in your town. This should reset the character and have them free to use again. Please note that any progress they had earned during the task in question will have been lost and you’ll have to do it again. Alternatively, if the "stuck" character is inside a building, then storing that building in your inventory should also release/free the character.

Note that sometimes two characters "share" a building and will both reset (e.g. Marge and Moe both come with Moe’s Tavern).
