Can you share how you removed administrative rights and got it to work?  I'm having trouble figuring out how.

I've tried everything in the forums to fix the "hold up need permissions" issue.

- Unintalled, reinstalled EA App - no luck

- Uninstalled, reinstalled Command & Conquer General, and Red Alert 1 - no luck

- Verified my windows account is administrator - no luck

- right click run EA app as administrator - no luck

- right click run C&C game as adminstrator - no luck

- set UAC to high, restart PC - no luck

- Set UAC to low, restart PC - no luck

Any other tips or fixes?

Go into the local game files of FIFA 23 > Find the ''EA Anticheat.GameServieLauncher'' application.

- Right click and properties > then on the top find the subsection ''compatibility'' > untick ''Run this program as an administrator''.
- Also do the same for the ''EA Anticheat.GameServieLauncher.dll'' file.
- Then do the same for the EA app and the FIFA 23.exe application and it should work hopefully.

If it still doesn't, go to the FIFA 23 local game files > find folder ''_Installer'' > EA AntiCheat > Run the installer > select FIFA 23 and hit update.
It should take a minute or two till it shows ''update completed''.
Then restart the EA app and try launching the game.

Thank you for taking the time to better explain.   Unfortunately, I am getting the error with a different game - Command & Conquer Generals and Red Alert 2.   My game files do not have file called "EA antichet.gameservieLauncher.dll" in any of the sub folders.    

The problem still exists for me.   Thanks anyways.

WOW...so this patch was supposed to be a QOL one huh? So game ran no issues prior. Patched and got the error the folks above have detailed. Yep understanding how EA works, did not waste time, started checking the security and permissions on EA App and all it's exe's, as well as Easy Anti cheat's and the BF 2042 ones...all had admin rights...so what to do...always do the opposite of what EA has you do ...removed all admin privilege's and bingo bango, game on!

Agree. EA has to fix this! Any idea how to get them fixed it?

Everything worked fine before the EA App changed.  The devs need to fix what they've broken.

This isn't acceptable because this error is causing mods to no longer function, how can this error be dealt with permanently?
