Basically I have the error code 10:0 come up and there is nothing at all publicly on what these error codes mean. Well done EA. (And yes I am annoyed because I can't get anything done - if I have game that doesn't need internet connectivity I shouldn't have to try and install origin in the ruddy first place.)
I run Windows 10 (clean install, no update from 8.1 or 7) 64 bit version.
Before I had this problem origin wanted to update and I said to install later and then now I can't install it now...I hope I can use the code I got into another game thingy like steam at this rate...Oh I forgot....AS I HAVE CD INSTALLED SIMS I NEED ORIGIN!! FFS.

@GOASTCAKE There is no need to SHOUT! Please refrain from posting in all CAPS.
Are you having the same issue as the op in this thread?
If so, can you try deleting the OriginThinSetupInternal.exe file and open Origin once more as administrator. The standard location for Origin can be found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin.
You can also find the file by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete -> Task Manager - right-click OriginThinSetupInternal.exe -> Open File Location.

Please go through the following steps and let us know your results here, thanks.
Manually uninstall Origin: https://help.ea.com/en/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin/
Reboot and then download the most recent installer from here: https://www.origin.com/irl/en-us/store/download
Run the installer and then retest again.

Hi,
Are all of you experiencing Error 10:0? If you experience a different issue then please create a new thread.
In the case that you get the message that you need to be connected to the internet, then this means that your network settings are blocking Origin from connecting. Steps in this thread should solve that:
http://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Complete-Support-Origin-Connection-Issues/td-p/5019298
If 10:0 persists, please also try running the installer file as administrator.

Ive had this problem for months now and have been avoiding it.. finally i decided to tackle it head on. I tried everything from doing a clean boot to disabling all of my firewalls and adblocks as suggested by EA support but to no luck, until I decided to go through all my files (origin related) to see if there was a problem there, I went to my Programs x85 (or whatever) and scrolled down slightly to see even though I had uninstalled and -tried- to reinstall it all the files hadnt been deleted so I clicked on the Origins file (not the Origins games) and deleted it, I then went to the Origin page and tried reinstalling it and it worked!!! So if youre having this problem go to your Programs x file and delete the Origins file.
Good luck
