Does EA Use The Microsoft Authenticator?

★ Guide

I currently have my phone for texts to log in but I use the MS Authentication for a lot of things does the EA for accounts use this as well and is it reliable because about 5 years ago the Authentication was set-up and it wasn't me who did and I couldn't get into my account luckily I managed to get on to the phone to someone who was really helpful and they unlocked it for me and set-up my phone but if I can use the MS one then I will enable it.

Last time it used the google one

Hey @Nakatomi_Uk,

Welcome!

When you want to secure your EA account with Two-Factor Authentication (which we of course highly recommend), there are indeed a few options:
- A back-up email
- Text message or Phone call
- Or a something like the MS and Google Authenticator apps

As a matter of fact, you can use any 2-factor-authentication app to generate codes. Next to the MS and Google Authenticator apps, you can also use apps like LastPass, 1Password, Keypass etc. There are loads of them!

More information about EA Login Verification can be found on our website: https://help.ea.com/en/help/account/ea-login-verification-information/.

Thanks.
