Common Questions Answered:

I don’t want to use Cross Progression - can I opt out?

No, there is no way to opt-out from Cross Progression.

Starting Cross Progression - how do I start playing with Cross Progression?

We will start rolling out Cross Progression at the beginning of season 19 on October 31st. To ensure a smooth transition, we will roll it out to players in groups. This means you might not get Cross Progression right away at season launch.

When your account is ready to Cross Progress, you will see a window when you log into the game. Follow the instructions on these screens and once completed your account will be cross progressed.

Starting Cross Progression - How do I play on another platform after Cross Progression?

Once your account has gone through the Cross Progression process, you will be able to play your account on any supported platform. To access your account, simply sign in with your EA account to the platform and launch Apex Legends

I have two EA accounts - will they get merged?

No, only accounts connected to the same EA account will be merged. If you want to tell which accounts you have connected to your EA account you can check your account connections by going to https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/connectaccounts/index and going to connections:

I have two EA accounts - can I combine them?

No, there is currently no way merge two separate EA accounts together

I have two EA accounts - will moving my PSN/Xbox account to my other account transfer my progress or content?

No, any progress or content unlocks are tied to your original EA account. By unlinking your account you will lose any progress you have gained on that account.

Moving a platform from one EA account to another will provide access to your main EA account content on both platforms, but will not transfer any content from the second EA account.

If you have unlinked a platform account mistakenly, relinking the account to the original EA account should restore progress.

I have shared my account with a friend/relative - what happens to us?

As it's intended for each player to be using their own individual EA account, since account sharing is against the EA User Agreement, both of these accounts will be merged onto the new Cross Progression profile.

Since this creates a single profile, this profile can only be signed in and used by one person, on one platform at a time.

In this scenario, one person will need to create their own EA account and play using this going forward.

One of my accounts is banned - will that content be merged?

No, if one of your accounts has a permanent ban on it, the content on it will not be merged onto your new Cross Progression profile.

Content - what if I have the same content (skin/heirloom/etc) on both of my accounts?

Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for content acquired multiple times. The content will not appear twice in your inventory.

Content - how does the merge treat the 500 pack counter?

The 500 Apex Pack counter will not merge. Your counter will be carried over from your highest level account.

Content - how do unopened Apex packs get handled?

Unopened Apex packs will get merged and be available to open after Cross Progression.
