Weapon challenges have negative value or don't track [ Edited ]

I was playing a few rounds of apex NBR trying to knock off my dailies and noticed that the LMG damage wasn't tracking in the daily tracker even though I was doing damage almost soley with LMGs (and it is an any mode daily). It was ticking up in the weekly challenges and I found this confusing then scrolling down in the stats noticed that it has me at -34271/250 LMG damage I need to do today!

Not sure what's going on here but those numbers are definitely not right!

We've seen this affecting a handful of similar challenges as well and have passed it along for further investigation. 

We'll update the thread once we have any new info, thanks for hanging in there in the meantime.

What should be happening instead? It should show that I have 18/20 sniper kills for that weeks challenge
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Check my stat tracker and the challenges. I have gotten sniper kills but it’s showing that I haven’t

It’s not tracking my sniper kills on challenges. I had 18 sniper kills after this latest update. My tracked for that challenge is now back to 0 and shows no sniper damage on the other challenge for this week

Battle pass weekly challenges says -200,000 out of 7,500 for assault rifles

Some of my challenges completely reset themselves and are currently not counting any damage or knockdowns I get for specfic weapons.

Hi,

for some reason my weekly challenges for assault rifles and light machine guns have a very high negative number. This way I’m not able to complete these.

I’m playing on a PS5.

Can a Dev look into this issue?

I'm not getting credit for damage done with light machine guns (LMGs) of any kind.

What happens when the bug occurs? I have a negative amount for a couple of my challenges. So I am never able to complete it until I go back to positive. I don't know how this happened, but I'm assuming this has been happening for awhile.
What should be happening instead? The challenge amount shouldn't start off with a negative number.

A couple of my challenges never got any progress. Even though I should be getting them. I was wondering why it was doing this and I found out that they didn't start from 0, but from a negative number. If you look at the screenshots, you can see that they're starting from the negative. One of them has more than -3000 and another -30,000.

There was a UI bug last year where it was showing negative numbers. And it said that you can see the actual amount in game. I tried that and it was still at 0. So this doesn't seem like a UI bug. When I deal assault rifle damage, it does go down. But starting from a negative number isn't right. I have no idea why it's doing this. Probably a back end issue where data is not coming in correctly?

This isn't happening to all of the challenges, but a couple of them from what I can see.
