Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.72.28.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Journey to Batuu, Vampires, Realm of Magic, Paranormal, Toddler, Fitness, Backyard, Kids Room, and Spooky
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Run the game with or without mods and have a Sim of any cooking skill level cook with any stove or grill.
What happens when the bug occurs? The stove or grill will always, without fail, catch on fire. My Sims cannot use stoves or grills without them catching on fire. It doesn't matter which stove or grill or how high my Sim's cooking level is, or if a lot has a trait such as Cursed or not, they will ALWAYS catch on fire.
What do you expect to see? A largely decreased chance of fires happening. I expect the stoves and grills to not catch on fire literally every time a Sim touches one.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. 1.72.28.1030, the patch where they released bunk beds
Ever since the 3/23/2021 patch update, my sims literally cannot use a stove or grill at all without them catching on fire. I tried removing mods and repairing my game and clearing the cache, but nothing has helped.

@Seventopia Do you have any lot traits on your lot ? Does it happen on all lots you play or just a certain one with a certain Sim ?
If it's just one Sim, what traits does the SIm have ?
There was a similar report like this in the german forum and for them it was a mod causing the issue. Did you try a folder rename as well ?
Good Luck

@crinrict It happens to all Sims, even when they have no traits like Clumsy or something. I have three Sims in the household right now, and these are their traits:
1. Hot-headed, mean, genius
2. Jealous, bookworm, gloomy
3. Neat, art lover
The lot traits are Great View and Serviced Apartment. This problem happens on other lots too, when my Sims are visiting their friends and family and someone in those households decide to cook. And like I said, removing my mods, clearing my cache, and repairing my game didn't help.
Could you explain what a folder rename is, please? I haven't heard of this as a potential fix. Thank you!

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

@crinrict Sorry about the last reply, the site wasn't displaying your last post for me lol
Yeah you're right, all my other households in my saves get tense a lot and fires happen when they're tense. I didn't know about that! Thanks :D
