Sims not doing actions (July 2024)

Same issue in my game. I thought it is my computers fault, that it overheats after an hour of play or something. But it is quite new and quite good, was bought just for playing games...

I have tried this. I disable all the packs and the game works great (base game only). But as soon as I enable even just one pack (doesn't matter which one) it goes back to being broken.

This problem is such a disappointment. The Sims used to be my favorite game but I haven't been able to play it for over a year. SMH.

@mimioluwa THANK YOU! I've been trying to figure this out for days and removing sp 5-29 FINALLY fixed it. Actually wild that the game isn't compatible with itself.

Is anyone else having a problem that when sims are about to complete a task time just freezes and they don’t move? But when you change the speed of time it goes forwards and backwards and it’s on different times for each mode

it’s been happening since the 08/24 update on ps4

I also have that problem. I can only drive a sim of my family unit and it is also frozen without the possibility of performing any other action. That problem, like you, has been happening since the last update on August 8, impossible to play like this.

I am playing on PS4. I don't have any mods on my game as I can't do that on PS4. I haven't even got that many game packs. But all of a sudden my sims have been "stuck" for hours. Just standing there, not doing anything. I have attempted to do the sim fix with the cheat box multiple times but that hasn't worked. And I was told to click on my sim while the cheat box is open and do a de bugg but I can't do that because it closes the cheat box and that option never comes up for PS4. 

I have only one saved file for this world/sim. I have emptied my gallery and made space, and cleaned out inventory and shut down the game, made sure its updated and re opened. And nothing is working. I spoke to support and they asked me to report my problem here. As the solution they gave me I have already tried.

The game on PS4/PS5 continues to fail a lot since the last patch of 8/8, the sims are frozen without being able to do anything and you have to leave the game and start again. We need a definitive patch that already fixes those problems that the game has been giving lately!

Hey!

I have this too! Started with the Grim Reaper Challenge update little over a week ago. Not sure what to do. I have all game add-ons and don't use mods. This happens every 5-10 min real time about at least once, sometimes more and could last up to over an 1,5 hours game time and is messing up with my game with additionally having the clicking problem that you can't get pie option selection appear up to 2-15 sec later in real time if not come up at all.
