Sim doesn't age up by blowing out candles

My teen sim has Self Assured and will not age up. I tried removing trait via CAS and he still would not age up.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have your child try to age up to a teenager. by blowing out the candles...
What happens when the bug occurs? This child sims do not age to teenagers... they blow out the candles and act like the age up and every one celebrates but nothing else happens they remain a child. I had mods in at the time, but I removed them and even did a repair through origin and it still did not work..
What do you expect to see? for them to become teems
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I love the sims (sims4) but right now it  is hard to enjoy. I am considering putting my LPs on hold and just build.

I've heard this is caused by the new platforms in the update....if you make sure the sim that is ageing up has enough room to jump up and spin round the ageing up via the birthday cake will work.I rearranged some furniture and it worked for me....Littlemssam also has a little fix for this on her site under bugg fixes...

i have 2 teenager sims that age up at the same time, one of them did at midnight but the other one didn’t so i made a cake and put on candles and clicked to blow them out but they didn’t age up, they lagged out the house and stayed a teenager. i’m not sure what to do because i really need them to age up but nothing helps, i’ve reset my console like 5 times and still nothing. please help if you can

I really hope that EA fix this soon because I have spent so much on expansion packs, game packs, etc just for it to be basically unplayable 🤦🏻‍♀️

It must be an issue on all platforms because it happens on my Xbox One too

I is the same spot I have used for all of my 6 other children...and they meet all the requirements...  Blow out the candles and they act like the aged up but still children.. I will just build for now.. I have something for the new spark challenge I am buildling.
