[OPEN] Sim Can't Retire/ LE Generated

I'm having the same issue.

For anyone who wants to know, there is a cheat to retire a sim:

careers.retire careername

(I would recommend looking up the career promotion cheats and copy/paste it, but change "promote" to "retire")

my sim is an elder now and its time for him to retire. i have clicked the retire option on the phone, he rings but nothing happens and still goes to work. ive tried this a few times but to no avail. TIA

@crinrict This is the first elder I've had since HSY and its update. I aged up 2 in the family to elder (at a birthday party). Then I tried (repeatedly) to have them retire. I got the notice asking if they should retire (repeatedly) but then they don't retire. I, too, got a "last exception". (I finally changed the grandmother to another job, but left the grandfather in his science job for now.) I don't have any mods in my game.

I have the same issue (I have clicked Me Too) and even the cheat doesn't work

@Aimstar87 Are you sure you put the correct career name ? Cheat worked fine for me

What career is your Sim in ?
