@crinrictBoth. I tried with turning Offline mode in Origin, and while I was disconnected from the router.
I even went a step further, uninstalled both and installed the EA App, and reinstalled the game, to no effect either

@simslover499503 I've merged your post with the master thread for this issue. It would be helpful if you could provide the rest of the info requested in the first post on page one.

No, I will not try. Nvidia keeps my drivers updated automagicly through their app and it tells me I have the latest GeForce driver. I don't do beta-drivers or third part drivers. I shouldn't have to just because EA releases a bogus patch.
The driver you are using for your 1050 is from 2020 and therefore really outdated especially seeing that you are using Windows 11.
@crinrict linked to the newest driver from NVIDIA in post #149, this driver is not Beta or third party, it is the newest stable release Game ready driver for a 1050 Mobile.
I don't know why GeForce Experience is not showing you a newer driver.
What versions number has the installed version of GFE?
I can't tell if ASUS has suspended the use of new drivers due to technical limitations of this particular laptop model, but I would recommend contacting ASUS support about this issue.
Even if this particular problem is patch-related, sooner or later you will run into problems with such an old driver, if you don't already have them.

I also tried to play the game through the EA app as instructed by EA Help on twitter and they, like the mods here, seemed reluctant to admit the update caused the problems, despite linking them this forum showing many others having the same problems. The Sims 4 still does not work on Origin or the EA beta app, offline/connected to the internet or not, with no mods or cc, on a laptop that was running it fine before the update was added.

I had a hunch, so I went and tested something out. I fired up Sims 4, and turned off the Sims Delivery feature. I turned off both the Check Time Ratio (to Never), and turned off the automatic update for the Sim Delivery feature. The freezing was still there, but it was noticeably less.
