Horrible Lag

Updated the drivers and restarted my PC and the issue is still present

@Naodyr Could you also check for new drivers ? Yours are a bit over a year old.

@anibutterfly8 OK. Could you check how much RAM the game uses while it runs ?

To do so, if you have just one monitor, play in windowed mode and open the task manager next to it. Then check the RAM usage. If you have two, you can play full window/full screen and just have the task manager on the other monitor.

Unfortunately not, no. I cannot update my video card drivers any longer, AMD stopped supporting it. And it will take some time until my new computer with my new video card arrives.

i’m having the same issue, since the patch update yesterday my game has severe lag. i can’t even get make a sim to get past CAS and see if live mode and build mode are the same. i have tried taking all my mods and cc out, deleting the onlinethumbnailcache files, the avatarcache package file and the localthumbcache package file. but to no avail it’s still really laggy. in CAS, it works perfectly fine for about 5 seconds, then lags, then freezes for about 30 seconds before it’s perfectly fine again. i do have lag within the game anyways because i only have a laptop, ASUS vivobook. but that lag is playable with as it’s not every few seconds or every minute.

Where would the RAM info normally be? I'm not seeing it in the task manager

@anibutterfly8 second column. It's the only on that gives you a MB number. The other ones are either MB/s or %

Make sure you're on the tab Processes

Looks like it's saying 1710.3MB

• Do you play a fresh or an existing save game? Existing Game
• Are you using mods/cc and if so, have you tested without them ? I don‘t use mods/cc
