[FIXED] Goaled events become not-goaled in UI only after editing in calendar

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.106.148.1230
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All expansion, game and stuff packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a goaled event through the calendar, then go back to edit it and it will bug the UI by not showing the goals anymore, making it look like a NPC-started event while still giving you rewards based on your performance
What happens when the bug occurs? Upon editing an event from the calendar, that event is treated like an event without goals, but it keeps counting in the background. At the end of the event, you get rewards based on how well you did, even if you could not see what you were meant to do the entire time.
What do you expect to see? I expect the UI to keep consistent even after the event is edited
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

This is especially annoying for things like slumber parties since kids cannot organise events but can edit them to invite their friends. Makes the aspiration harder than it should be, though it is still possible to get a good reward if you know what to do beforehand - but that is not ideal.

Edit By Crinrict: Removed tag. Calendar is base game now. Adjusted title a bit

  • Event Goals created through the Calendar properly show up during the Event, even if you edit the Event.

Fixed in Patch 1.109.185/1.98

@Jyostna Does it matter if you edit the event with the same Sim you set up the event or a different one ?

I only tested to edit it with another Sim and noticed that the original Sim still only had the original Sims they invited and not the ones the other invited. Those only showed up for the Sim that did the edit. Maybe that messes up things ?

Not really. The UI changes even if it was edited by the same sim.

In fact, when you make an event through calendar...

- If you then click to edit it but not change a single thing, then click accept, the UI will swap into non-goaled one still.

- If you click edit but then press cancel, it will keep showing the right UI with the goals.

And again, even if it shows non-goaled version, the player will still get a reward/pop-up about the rating of it at the end of it.
