We have also suspected the new lashes being somehow responsible but we don't know for sure.
I don't believe they changed the animations to accomodate them* but it does seem to me as if the game maybe leaves a gap for them or that maybe something about the weights/morphs of the eye lids has changed by adding them, I know too little about these things though and wouldn't know how to check that assumption.
*I also had the CAS idle animation extracted pre patch and compared it just now with a newly exported one and they look exactly the same.
If it's related to the lashes, I'm thinking that this can't be intended behaviour though since it affects the wast majority of sims not wearing the lashes and the gap is really noticeable in some cases.

I want to note that they should also let ppl know on social media, that all sims created after the last patches will be altered when they release a fix for this... because I feel like the community wont like not knowing the sims they created lately will be alter by a another patch, if they are not in the known of this issue...

I think what is most frustrating about this is that before this, custom content creators were able to make 3D lashes without altering the eyelids at all. I really, really hope EA fixes this soon!

Although I don't have the new pack, I also have the eyelid and glasses problem. I'm curious to see what the developers will screw up next.

Just noting that unlike the linked bug, this one doesn't seem to be limited to previously created sims.
I noticed it on my new sim that I made after the pack came out (unless I used an old sim as a base and forgot about it).
But that's an interesting point actually, maybe someone can confirm if they see it on new sims as well.
