Kits: Blooming Rooms, Book Nook, Carnaval Streetwear, Country Kitchen, Courtyard Oasis, Desert Luxe, Fashion Street, Incheon Arrivals, Industrial Loft, Throwback Fit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1) Select the Private Attorney branch of the Law Career 2) Wait for "Visit University Class" or "Guest Speak at University" WFH tasks to come up. 3) Use the phone to Visit/Guest Speak at University
What happens when the bug occurs? The Sim goes to a rabbithole with no progress indicator. The rabbithole never ends until the task is canceled, and the WFH task never gets marked as complete.
What do you expect to see? To be able to complete the task and get WFH credit.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

Prior to this update I was getting a LE when attempting these tasks (same as this report), but after the LE the WFH task was marked as complete and my Sim was paid accordingly. Since the latest update, the Sim goes into an infinite rabbithole. I have waited up to 5 in-game hours for the task to complete, but it never does, and the action does not have a progress indicator. If the action is canceled, my Sim returns but I do not get credit for the task.

• Issue also occurs when traveling to one of the universities and selecting the task from a classroom.
• Tested my existing save after removing all Mods, CC, and the localthumbcache.package file.
• Repaired the game and re-tested without mods after removing the localthumbcache.package file again.
• Tested in a new save w/out mods with a freshly-made Sim, though cheated to get to the correct career level for the task to save time. This save is available.

• Sim will return from visiting the law class as a guest speaker–in both judge or private attorney branches–whether through the phone or the building interaction. We don’t know where they were previously going. Very sus.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim in the judge branch get a 'work from home'-task to guest speak at university and/or visit university law class. Try to complete these tasks by sending the sim by phone or by physically clicking on a building at uni and choosing to guest speak and/or visit. The sim will go, but the task will never complete.
What happens when the bug occurs? This is similar to the "Law Career: LE When Sending Sim to Guest Lecture"-bug, but instead of getting a last exception when going to guest speak or visit law class, my judge sim just never reappears autonomously after going to guest speak or visit. I have to x-out the task, as my sim doesn't return after 8-10-12+ hours. This happens regardless of using the phone to go, or when going to the uni and clicking on a building. Removing mods and repairing game has not helped the issue.
What do you expect to see? I expect the sim to return within a normal range of time, and the work at home-task to complete.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Could reproduce this as well. No mods, new save, 1.99.264.1030 with all packs up to but except Horse Ranch. 

Sim is in Law career, judge branch lvl 8. 

On the work prompt one hour before work starts selected work from home and received tasks, one of which was " Visit University Law Class"

The tooltip says task can be completed either directly on a university building or through a phone option. 

Tried both options by reloading the save.

Both cause the sim to get stuck, with their avatar appearing away, while attending University Class. 

Sim never returns, action never completes.

Unfortunately the only way around this I've found is by using the UI Cheats mod to mark the task as complete.

I just noticed this happening today, I don't normally play the law career and now because of this I'm not sure I want to continue doing it.

What do you expect to see? I expect the sim to return within a normal range of time, and to see the work task turn gold for completion and the right amount of simoleons to go to my sim upon completing the task.

Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure - this is the first time I've tried playing the Law career.

I don't understand why this doesn't get fixed. I saw that there is a mod the sims mod to fix this problem, so it is very possible.. it makes playing the law career a lot less fun.
