Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.80.69.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All, except Fashion street kit, Incheon style kit and Retro outfit kit.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm not really sure on how to reproduce the bug. But I have included a link to a youtube clip in which I posted different scenarios on when that happens: https://youtu.be/vk4jo7fLpeI
What happens when the bug occurs? The camera is skyrocketing really high and goes down again by itself, or the camera keeps jumping up and down like crazy.
What do you expect to see? I would like to see a steady camera, so I can focus on my objects and zoom in without the camera moving up/down for more precision work. Maybe even an option to disable the automatic motion of the camera on the Z axis.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
I have classified this as a bug, due to the fact that the camera is skyrocketing or bouncing up and down like crazy. Wether this is a bug or change request is debatable. But imho the video clearly shows this is a bug. Thats why i'm asking to give us the option to disable the Z axis camera movement completely.
Also I miss a "What did you try yourself to workaround/solve this issue?" section 😅 and also let me answer this one:
There is a camera.ini file. In which I have changed the "ignorelotlevel = false" to "ignorelotlevel = true". This does not solve this issue. Btw, the video is shot with "ignorelotlevel = true".
Tried changing between camera modes e.g. The Sims 3 camera or The Sims 4 camera. This also sadly does not solve this issue.
I'd like to send a savegame file if needed, but i'd rather not do that here, where everyone can download my savegame.
Tbh: this issue is preventing me from playing the sims with fun, cause the camera is really frustrating me. 🙈

- Camera jittering is no longer observed in Build Buy mode after using Terrain Tools.
Fixed in Patch 1.109.185/1.98
Don't know if that was all there's to this issue. If you still have camera drift and similar, please create a new thread and post which lots you see this on.

Yeah, I was going to ask if they were talking about build or live mode and what lot - I know that in places like San Myshuno and a couple of lots in WINDENBURG especially, it an be nigh impossible to do a build without it taking hours b/c of camera issues. I'll be watching this to see what happens

Is this really lot related? So does that mean the camera is beahving lot dependent? I think also my question is about the camera in general though.

@siirysiir Yes, exactly, I feel this the same too 😊 Also, the last part of the vid shows a 1 level building btw, so i'm not sure if that is the case.

@crinrict I can make a new thread for every lot I experienced it, but it will clog up the forum 😁 Cause the vid is an example of 2 lots, but it happens on more. Almost the say on every lot/build I do. It could be a way of building style I have, but I have not tested it, neither do I know how to test if it's my building style lol. Thank you 😊
